For the Clinging and Creeping

Release me, let me go

We are not meant to be together

Or if we do, chances are it’s not forever.

If memories we’ve had give you a tighter grip,

I’m sorry, old friend, have your worries be shipped.

We are done, please understand

It’s about time you let go of my hand

Don’t cling to the memory as you’re sober,

Please do realize that we’re done and over.
