This morning, I danced.

This morning, I danced.

Did every move and every step with nonchalance.

Then I looked towards nowhere in each motion,

Thinking that nowhere’s you.

The beat of the music captivated me

Pushed me to give in and lose myself.

This morning, I danced.

And I gave in and lost you.

“Don’t do it for others, do it for yourself.”

Did you really own up to what you said?

I’m trying to be okay, you make it even harder.

I drowned in my tears, you’ve pushed me into the waters.

This morning, I danced.

And told myself, “To hell with this mundane romance.”

Be still, my heart, you’ve had your chance,

Then I lost myself into eternal trance.
